Don’t fall victim to scammers posing as willing print buyers.
Scammers pose as willing buyers and request a huge order to be shipped. The logic says there are commercial printing companies everywhere.
There is no need to pay an enormous amount of shipping cost if the buyer uses a local print company.
How the scam works
The scammer requests a huge order that is quite profitable for the printer.
After the agreement is made on price the buyer (scammer) requests for you to ship using their preferred freight company.
The buyer pays the printing company with a stolen credit card.
The buyer receives the funds, prints the job request and pays the freight company.
How the printing company is affected
When the print company pays the freight company for the shipping cost, that money is gone.
The money that was received from the stolen credit card has to be paid back.
The print company is stuck with unsold prints.
This is a triple whammy.
Don’t fall victim
Do not accept too-good-to-be-true orders. Use your judgement. Do they not have local print shops in the city where the requester wants the prints shipped to? More than likely they do, so why would they accept to pay for shipping?

Most print companies are small mom & pop operations and do not have the funds to lose as a big company like Vista Print.
